Jimmy Kimmel ROASTS MTG After She Reported Him to Police

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel isn’t one to shy away from controversy, and his latest target is none other than Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG). What started as a typical Kimmel monologue spiraled into a fiery public exchange, culminating in Greene reporting the comedian to the police—a move that only escalated the roasting.

How It All Began

The spat began when Kimmel, known for his sharp political humor, made a joke about Greene on his show. During a segment addressing some of her controversial statements and behavior in Congress, Kimmel quipped, “Where’s Will Smith when you really need him?” The joke, referencing Smith’s infamous Oscars slap, took aim at Greene’s provocative rhetoric.

MTG’s Response: Calling the Cops

Greene didn’t take kindly to the joke. Shortly after the episode aired, she publicly announced that she had reported Kimmel to Capitol Police, calling his comments a “threat of violence” against her. Greene tweeted about the incident, stating, “@ABC, this threat of violence against me by @jimmykimmel has been filed with the @CapitolPolice.”

For a sitting congresswoman to report a comedian to the police was unprecedented, and the internet quickly exploded with reactions, both supporting and mocking Greene’s decision.

Kimmel’s Savage Comeback

Kimmel, of course, didn’t let the opportunity slip by. He immediately addressed Greene’s actions in his following show, delivering a scathing yet comedic response. “She called the police on me! Not a joke, she literally called the police,” Kimmel exclaimed, shaking his head in disbelief. He went on to poke fun at Greene, saying, “Officer, I’d like to report a joke.”

In his signature sarcastic style, Kimmel continued, “This is insane! She’s a congressperson from Georgia, she spends all her time tweeting and trolling, and now she’s calling the police because she can’t handle a little joke?!” He then joked about what kind of law enforcement resources would be tied up for such a trivial matter, adding, “Who’s handling this case? Inspector Clouseau?”

The Public's Reaction

As the feud unfolded, social media buzzed with reactions. Many people found Greene’s decision to involve the police over a joke to be extreme, especially given her outspoken criticism of “cancel culture” and her frequent use of inflammatory rhetoric. Memes flooded Twitter, with some users dubbing the saga “Kimmel vs. Karen.”

Others, however, sided with Greene, claiming that Kimmel’s joke was in poor taste and crossed a line by seemingly advocating violence. Though it was clearly a comedic jab, some argued that public figures like Kimmel should be more careful with their language, especially when it involves elected officials.
